    • The Opolis Terms & Conditions open automatically. Please read them carefully, confirm them and continue
      • PLEASE NOTE: You will also receive a PDF file with the confirmed Opolis Terms & Conditions attached to your first Opolis E-Mail from the Opolis Help Desk when later logging into Opolis the first time
    • Next, you will be asked to enter some personal information to create your Personal Certificate. This data enables the Certification Authority – Opolis uses iTrust for this purpose - to generate your personal and unique Public and Private Keys. These very keys are the foundation of the Opolis enryption mechanism
    • To finalise your Personal Certificate you will be asked to submit your Surname, First Name, Address, State, City and Country. You will be required to fill in all fields, whereby no two fields can have the same content. Otherwise you will not be able to proceed. Once the fields have been filled in correctly, confirm your entry details and to continue again
    • GENERAL COMMENT: Opolis uses asymmetric encryption, also known as Public-Private Key technology, and the services of iTrust as a registry of public keys for Opolis Users. Public-key encryption is a cryptographic system that uses two keys:
      • Each User is allocated a public key which is accessible to every Sender of an Opolis E-Mail to this specific User to encrypt messages
      • The corresponding private key used to decrypt an Opolis E-Mail (i.e. make it legible) is only and exclusively known by the Recipient an Opolis E-Mail
      • PLEASE NOTE: The encryption methodology used by Opolis has never been hacked before
      • PLEASE NOTE: Also Opolis as a service provider is not in a position to decrypt and read any Opolis E-Mails
